Are you a passionate and hardworking individual looking to work with other people like you?

Application Process

We are delighted to have a very diverse team. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the academic year, including from first years.
If you wish to apply, please review the role description below and email your application for the attention of the Co-Editors-in-Chief at lawreview@universityofgalway.ie. When submitting your application, please include the requirements as dictated by the role description and a cover letter setting out your motivation and why you would be a good fit for the team. Please include contact details, your course and current level of study.
Finally, the University of Galway Law Review is a free resource and is run by committed individuals on a voluntary basis. Unfortunately, this means we are not in a position to offer renumeration. However, there are perks, including invitations to exclusive events.
If you have any queries about any of our roles or what we offer, please do not hesitate to email us (lawreview@universityofgalway.ie).

Current Vacancies

These roles are generally awarded to current members who have shown commitment, dedication, engagement and growth in their editorial and writing skills. However, in exceptional circumstances, we will consider first time applicants who demonstrate a strong academic background and/or a proven track record in writing for senior editor positions.

Senior Editors

We welcome applications for junior editor positions from all students, including first years. Primary responsibilities will include fact checking, ensuring footnotes are OSCOLA compliant, reviewing basic grammar and providing feedback on articles. Your application must include two pieces of work, which can have been completed as part of your undergraduate degree. However, at least one piece of work must be suitable for publication on the student voice.
